HAUTALLERGENE VERSTEHEN
Ein Hautallergen (auch bekannt als dermales Allergen oder Kontaktallergen) ist eine Substanz, die das Immunsystem als Bedrohung ansieht und angreift. Es ist aber wichtig, sich daran zu erinnern, dass die Anwesenheit eines Hautallergens in einem Produkt noch nicht bedeutet, dass eine Person dadurch automatisch eine allergische Sensibilität entwickelt.
Hautallergien können geschaffen oder induziert werden, wenn eine Person einem Allergen über eine bestimmte Zeit oder auch über eine bestimmte Minimaldosis hinaus ausgesetzt ist. Diesen Vorgang nennt man “Induktion.” Wenn eine Person eine Hautallergie auf eine vorgegebene Substanz entwickelt, kann es zu einer Reaktion wie einer Rötung oder einem Ausschlag kommen. Diesen Vorgang nennt man “Auslösung.” Ob sich eine Reaktion entwickelt oder nicht, hat viel mit der Dosis und der kumulierten Menge der Aussetzung zu tun. Bei SC Johnson legen wir Wert darauf, Inhaltsstoffe zu verwenden, die Hautallergene nur in so kleinen Mengen enthalten, das es höchst unwahrscheinlich ist, dass durch sie bei jemandem eine neue Hautallergie entsteht oder eine allergische Hautreaktion ausgelöst wird. Dennoch ist es für Individuen mit einer bereits vorhandenen Hautallergie von Vorteil, zu wissen, in welchen Produkten ein bestimmter Inhaltsstoff verwendet wird.
WARUM VERÖFFENTLICHEN WIR HAUTALLERGENE?
Wir halten kontinuierlich nach Wegen Ausschau, um die Transparenz unserer Produkte weiter zu steigern. Seit dem Start dieser Webseite im Jahr 2009 haben wir fortlaufend weitere Details über Farbstoffe (2009), Konservierungsstoffe (2011) und Duftstoffe (2012) hinzugefügt. Wir haben im Jahr 2015 produktspezifische Details zu den Duftstoffen in 99,9 % unserer Produkte veröffentlicht und Transparenz für die Duftstoffe in unserer ersten Kollektion von Lufterfrischern im Jahr 2016 zu 100 % hergestellt.
Wir wollen Familien noch mehr Informationen über die Produkte an die Hand geben, die sie mit nach Hause bringen, sodass unsere Veröffentlichungsliste der Hautallergene über die Richtlinien in der Europäischen Union hinausgeht – und auch über die in den Vereinigten Staaten, wo es gar keine Regulierungen gibt, die die Transparenz dieser Allergene verlangen.

Um zu bestimmen, was als Hautallergen in unsere Veröffentlichung mit aufgenommen werden soll, haben wir einen strengen Evaluierungsprozess mit einer wissenschaftlich beratenden Gruppe entworfen, der Experten für Dermatologie, Immunotoxikologie, Duftstofftoxikologie und Allergene angehören.
Dem Expertengremium, das die Studienmethoden geprüft hat, gehören u. a. an:

Wir haben über 3000 Datensätze aus öffentlichen Quellen und der Industrie auf potenzielle Hautallergene hin analysiert, die in den Listen der Regulationsbehörden der einzelnen Länder, den Duftstofflisten der Industrie, den Veröffentlichungen des Europäischen Scientific Committee zur Konsumentensicherheit, in klinischen Daten aus der Dermatologie und in Sicherheitsdatenblättern einzelner Hersteller und Lieferanten bereits identifiziert wurden.
