Ingredients
Benzisothiazolinone is a preservative. It helps maintain product quality and performance over time. Some people raise concerns about preservatives, because a small number of individuals have allergies to them just as some people have allergies to nuts or bees. But preservatives play a very important role in food, cosmetics and household products. Without preservatives, many products would not last more than a week or two before being contaminated by bacteria, mold or yeast. So, we feel the best choice is to add preservatives in the smallest effective quantity to protect our products, but to list these preservatives in our formulas so that those with allergies in the family can make informed choices.
Peg 12 is a wetting agent that can also be found in hair conditioners, skin care products and cosmetics. We use it in our products to help a formula spread across a surface, making cleaning more efficient.
Polysorbate 20 is an emulsifier that can also be found in moisturizers, makeup and shampoo. It helps bind ingredients together and keep a formula from separating. In fragranced products, it also helps ensure even distribution of the fragrance. Adding emulsifiers helps ensure that our products provide the same performance use after use.
For competitive reasons, the supplier of this proprietary polymer solution has asked us to keep the details confidential, and we're legally bound to do so. But we can tell you that it's an aqueous solution of polymers that we use in our products to help adjust the flowability so that the product can be spread evenly and can help prevent stains.
For competitive reasons, the supplier of this resin has asked us to keep the details confidential, and we're legally bound to do so. But we can tell you that it's a resin that we use to form a plastic bag and its zip closure, and that it is compostable through curbside commercial composting that accepts food scraps and compostable bags. (Not for backyard composting.) Check for availability of curbside commercial composting in your community; these facilities do not exist in many areas.
The proprietary wax blend is a film former that we use in our products to create a protective coating or shine on a surface. This means that the surface has an added level of protection, and also has the shine that helps the surface look its best.
Sulfonated Aliphatic Polyester is a wetting agent that can also be found in laundry products and floor coatings. We use it in our products to help a formula spread across a surface, making cleaning more efficient.
Tributoxyethyl phosphate is a plasticizer that can also be found in floor polish and finishes. It works as film forming agent by transforming polymer particles into durable and flexible film. Without this, the polymer particles will be brittle.
Provides a liquid base for a product.
