Naphtha (petroleum), Hydrotreated Light is a cleaning agent that can also be found in paints and varnishes. We use it in our products to remove dirt and deposits by surrounding dirt particles to loosen them from the surface they're attached to, so they can be rinsed away. Naphtha (petroleum), Hydrotreated Light can also be used as a carrier within our products. It helps carry a product to a surface by thinning or thickening the formula, or simply ensuring even distribution of the other ingredients in the formula. Without a carrier, the formula would not work with the same consistency across a surface.

Dimethicone is a silicone film former that can also be found in skin lotions, bath soaps and shampoos. Sometimes referred to as “silicone oil”, dimethicone is the most widely used silicone polymer and is particularly known for its ability to smoothly coat a surface and leave it protected, without being sticky. In products that are applied to the skin, dimethicone can also be used as an emollient that helps soften and smooth the skin. In household products, it creates a protective coating or shine on a surface. In our products to protect leather, it helps increase the gloss. Dimethicone also can be a moisturiser. As a moisturiser, it helps prevent a product or surface, like leather, from drying out by helping it retain moisture. This makes it softer and more pliable.

Sorbitan Oleate is an emulsifier that can also be found in moisturisers, hair-styling products and soaps. It helps bind ingredients together and keep a formula from separating. In fragranced products, it also helps ensure even distribution of the fragrance. We add emulsifiers to our products, where needed, to ensure that our products provide the same performance use after use.

Nitrogen is a propellant used to dispense a product from a container. Nitrogen is a non-flammable, non-VOC compressed gas. It makes up more than 75% of the air we breathe.

Glycerin is a moisturiser that can also be found in personal care products such as skin lotion. It works by drawing water in and forming a barrier on a surface to help retain moisture. We use glycerin in products to prevent the product from drying out and breaking apart.
