Without a carrier, the formula would not work with the same consistency across a surface.

This means the substance is capable of being dissolved, especially in water, by the action of a detergent or other agent. In our shoe care products, it also acts as a quick-dry to accelerate the evaporation process.

Titanium Ethylhexoxide is a film former that used in the coating industries for products including paints and printing inks. We add it to our products to create a coating on a surface adding an additional level of protection and provides a shine that helps the surface look its best. In our shoe care products, it also acts as a water proofer.

Dimethicone is a silicone film former that can also be found in skin lotions, bath soaps and shampoos. Sometimes referred to as “silicone oil,” dimethicone is the most widely used silicone polymer and is particularly known for its ability to smoothly coat a surface and leave it protected, without being sticky. In products that are applied to the skin, dimethicone can also be used as an emollient that helps soften and smooth the skin. In household products, it creates a protective coating or shine on a surface. In our products to protect leather, it helps increase the gloss. Dimethicone also can be a moisturizer. As a moisturizer, it helps prevent a product or surface, like leather, from drying out by helping it retain moisture. This makes it softer and more pliable.
