Isotridecanol, Ethoxylated is a cleaning agent or "surfactant" that can also be found in cosmetics, metal processing and lubricants. We use it in our products to remove dirt and deposits by surrounding dirt particles to loosen them from the surface they're attached to, so they can be rinsed away.

Sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate is a cleaning agent, or "surfactant," that is one of a group of ingredients commonly used in bath products, cleansing products, shampoos and hair conditioners. We use it in our products to remove dirt and deposits. In its liquid form, as we use it, it surrounds dirt particles to loosen them from the surface to which they are attached.

Citric acid is a builder that can also be found in a wide array of household products including laundry detergents, shampoos and cleaners. Of course, citric acid is also found in citrus fruits, such as oranges, lemons and limes. We use it to make a product formula clean better by affecting the molecules in the formula so they work together better. Citric acid can also be used as a pH adjuster that alters the pH of a product to improve stability. Every formula has an optimum pH to make it work best. For example, a formula that’s more acidic works better for soap scum removal. Its opposite, a formula that’s more alkaline, might be more effective as a carpet cleaner. We use pH adjusters to make sure we achieve the best pH for a particular job. Also, the pH of a formula can affect how long it lasts within a container – for example limiting its tendency to corrode a can, container or dispenser. We also sometimes use citric acid as a cleaning agent that removes hard water deposits, or as a chelator.

Also, the pH of a formula can affect how long it lasts within a container – for example limiting its tendency to corrode a can, container or dispenser.

Sodium Polyacrylate is an emulsifier that can also be found in facial creams and cosmetics. As an emulisifier, it helps bind ingredients together and keep a formula from separating. Over time, it is possible for formulas in a product to separate. We add emulsifiers to our products where needed to ensure that our products provide the same performance use after use. Sodium Polyacrylate can also be used as a cleaning agent to remove dirt and deposits by surrounding dirt particles to loosen them from the surface they are attached to, so they can be rinsed or wiped away.

Acrylic copolymer is a thickener that can also be found in personal care products such as lotions and hair styling gel. We use it to improve the texture of a product and help it maintain a gel-like texture.

Subtilisin is an enzyme that can also be found in various household products such as laundry detergents and contact lens cleaners. Enzymes are proteins that catalyze or increase the speed and efficiency of chemical reactions. We use subtilisin in our products to help break down stains.

Sodium xylene sulfonate is a wetting agent that can also be found in hair care products and cleansers. We use it in our products to help a formula spread across a surface, making cleaning more efficient. Sodium xylene sulfonate can also be used as a solubilizer that ensures even distribution of the ingredients throughout the product, to help it work better.

Propylene Glycol is a solubilizer that can also be found in cosmetics, toothpaste, food and beer. It is sometimes confused with ethylene Glycol, the sweet-tasting ingredient that can be used in air conditioning systems and antifreeze products, but it is a different ingredient. Propylene Glycol is used in our products to help ensure even distribution of the ingredients throughout a product, to help it work better. We also use it as an odor eliminator; as a cleaning agent, or "surfactant," that removes dirt; as a wetting agent; or as a carrier that enables delivery of the product to the surface. In certain products, Propylene Glycol works as a moisturizer helping to prevent a product or surface, like leather, from drying out by retaining moisture making the material softer and more pliable.

Benzisothiazolinone is a preservative. It helps maintain product quality and performance over time. Some people raise concerns about preservatives, because a small number of individuals have allergies to them just as some people have allergies to nuts or bees. But preservatives play a very important role in food, cosmetics and household products. Without preservatives, many products would not last more than a week or two before being contaminated by bacteria, mold or yeast. So, we feel the best choice is to add preservatives in the smallest effective quantity to protect our products, but to list these preservatives in our formulas so that those with allergies in the family can make informed choices.

Pectate Lyase is an enzyme that can also be found in various household products such as coffee and tea fermentations and oil extraction. Enzymes are proteins that catalyze or increase the speed and efficiency of chemical reactions. We use Pectate Lyase in our products to help break down stains.
